A blend of teakwood, sandalwood, pine, and cedar. Overtones of fresh leather, rum, sweet tobacco, and coffee. Infused together, this perfume gives off that fresh, woodsy musk that screams Appalachia. A mild scent, the tobacco, leather, rum, and coffee overtones add to the profile to create the aroma of a village marketplace deep in the old mountains. This is a part of my Cryptid Studies collection, and this scent is inspired by the Cryptid Studies Mothman design. I wanted something that really captured an almost nostalgic scent-sation of late summer in the Appalachian Mountains. I lived near Gatlinburg, TN and the Smokeys for a few years, and when I was experimenting with the scent profile, I couldn't help but try to recreate the smells of Main Street, and all of the little shops in the village marketplace district.

Perfume comes in a 10 mL cobalt blue (previously amber) roll-on bottle with a black- (previously gold-) colored cap, and comes ready for gift giving in a little fabric bag.

Dark Matter Studio's Essential Oil Perfumes

What are my perfumes? They are:

✨ All Hand-Blended: All of my perfumes are created myself, using my own formulas. I use the highest quality essential and/or fragrance oils to create my scent palates, and I only use certified organic jojoba oil (the gold standard of carrier oils) for superior skin absorption and longevity of the shelf life of the scent. (Bonus points for being hypoallergenic and easier on sensitive skin, too!)
✨ Completely Vegan: Honey, leather, and musk notes are always a high quality synthetic or plant based substitutes. All perfumes are also free of carmine.
✨ Cruelty-Free, Always: I never test my products on animals and never will. I thoroughly examine each and every supplier of my scent and carrier oils to ensure that they are all cruelty-free, and while I haven't encountered any issues thus far, the moment that changes with a supplier I promise to replace them. Upholding morals and treating all life with compassion and kindness is always first and foremost.
✨ Preservative Free: There are no harmful parabens, phthalates, or alcohols in my perfume oils.
