Infused together, this candle gives off that fresh, woodsy musk that screams Appalachia. A mild scent, the tobacco, leather, rum, and coffee overtones add to the profile to create the aroma of a village marketplace deep in the old mountains. This is a part of my Cryptid Studies collection, and this scent is inspired by the Cryptid Studies Mothman design. I wanted something that really captured an almost nostalgic scent-sation of late summer in the Appalachian Mountains. I lived near Gatlinburg, TN and the Smokeys for a few years, and when I was experimenting with the scent profile, I couldn't help but try to recreate the smells of Main Street, and all of the little shops in the village marketplace district. The fragrance is not so overpowering that it becomes irritating for those of the more sensitive variety when it comes to fragrances, and the best part about it? It's beeswax! What is so great about beeswax candles? They are long lasting for starters, so it'll last longer than a soy candle you buy from the drug store. Beeswax also releases negative ions when burning, which naturally purifies the air! It's perfect for allergens and asthma, and the added coconut oil means you can also use the melted wax as a moisturizer if you so choose since all the materials are skin-safe. (And for the adult cryptid-enthusiasts of the more, ahem, adventurous variety, all of my candles are safe to pour onto skin! The added coconut oil helps to lower the melting temperature of the wax, so it reduces the intensity of the heat!)

I hand-pour each candle so variations might occur slightly between scents and colors, but that's also one of the things that makes my candles so unique! No two candles will be exactly the same.
